Terms and Claims

blueEX Parcel Damage Claims & Lost Shipment Compensation Policy

A plain guide to blueEX claims for lost or damaged parcels: who can claim, the 30-day deadline, what to send and what buyers should do.

Terms of Carriage and Liability Limits

When you send goods with a courier in Pakistan, your rights are set by the courier’s terms of carriage. Universal Network Systems Limited (blueEX) has terms that explain how claims for lost or damaged parcels work.

Buyers are often not sure who is responsible when an item arrives broken. Under blueEX’s terms, the registered shipper makes the claim, and any compensation depends on the declared value and standard liability limits.

Damage Claims: What blueEX Says

blueEX says claims for lost or damaged parcels can be made by the registered shipper , in writing, within 30 days of booking. To give a claim the best chance:

  • Pack well: Pack goods well, with padding and a strong outer box. Good packing is the best way to avoid damage.
  • Keep evidence: Keep the original packing and take clear photos of any damage. blueEX asks for these when you claim.
  • Declare the value: Declare the true value of valuable items when booking, as compensation depends on the declared value and liability limits.

Claims for Lost Parcels

If a parcel is lost, the registered shipper can also claim within 30 days of booking. We could not confirm blueEX’s exact rules for how a loss is proved, so ask when you claim:

Stolen Parcels

Ask blueEX what proof is needed if a parcel was stolen, for example a police report.

Road Accidents

Ask blueEX how losses from accidents on the road are handled.

Who Can Make a Claim?

Advice for Online Shoppers (Buyers)

If you ordered from an online shop and received a broken item or an empty box, the claim is normally made by the shop, because the shop booked and paid for the delivery.

What you should do: Photograph the flyer with the 10-digit barcode label and the damaged item, keep all the packing and contact the shop where you ordered. The shop can give you a refund or replacement and make a claim with blueEX.

How Sellers Make a Claim, Step by Step

Registered sellers making a claim should follow these steps:

  1. Claim within 30 days: Make a written claim within 30 days of the booking date. Claims after 30 days may not be accepted.
  2. Collect your papers: Collect the 10-digit tracking number (AWB), the booking receipt, the invoice showing the item’s value, photos and the original packing.
  3. Send it: Email complete documentation to ask@blue-ex.com with your account code in the subject line, or send it through your account manager.
  4. blueEX checks it: blueEX checks the claim, including the tracking history. Compensation, if any, depends on the declared value and liability limits.
