blueEX Merchant Account Setup and Portal Guide

A plain guide for online sellers and businesses who want to open and use a blueEX business account safely.

Why Open a Business Account?

People who send the odd parcel can use a blueEX express center. Online shops and businesses that send many parcels usually need a business account. blueEX is the brand of Universal Network Systems Limited, listed on the GEM board of the Pakistan Stock Exchange (scrip GEMUNSL). Its services include e-commerce logistics, cash on delivery and return management.

Business customers use blueEX’s online portals at app.blue-ex.com and beta.blue-ex.com to book parcels. Ask blueEX which other tools, such as tracking and statements, your account includes.

What You May Need to Open an Account

We could not confirm blueEX’s exact list of documents. Businesses are commonly asked for the following, so have them ready:

Item 1

National Tax Number (NTN)

Your business tax number (NTN), if you have one.

Item 2

CNIC Copy

A copy of the CNIC of the business owner or the person signing the agreement.

Item 3

Bank Details

Your business bank account details (IBAN), where cash on delivery money will be paid.

Item 4

Pickup Address

The address and contact person for the place where parcels will be picked up.

What to Ask About the Seller Portal

We could not confirm every portal feature. Ask blueEX whether your account can do these things:

Upload Many Orders

Upload many orders at once, for example from a spreadsheet, to create bookings.

Airway Bills

Print airway bills with barcodes. The blueEX Shopify app and WooCommerce plugin can print them in bulk.

Pickups

Ask for a pickup from your address.

Statements

Download statements of cash collected, fees and payments to your bank.

Keeping Your Account Safe

Protecting your login keeps your money and your customers’ details safe:

Use the Real Websites

Only log in on blueEX’s own websites, such as app.blue-ex.com, beta.blue-ex.com or blue-ex.com. Never type your login on other websites or links sent by SMS.

Keep Keys Private

If you connect your store to blueEX, keep your keys private. Never put them in website code that runs in the browser.

Account Contact

We could not confirm whether every business customer gets a named account contact. Ask blueEX when you open your account.

Bills and Prices

We could not confirm how blueEX bills business customers. Ask about these points:

How the price is worked out, for example by weight steps.
Which taxes or extra charges are added, and how they show on your invoice.
Whether you can download your bills for your own accounts.

Ask blueEX when cash on delivery money is paid to your account under your agreement. Payments go to your business bank account, after any agreed charges are taken off. Use the statements on the portal to match each payment with its tracking number.
